Ingredients
- 5 c flour
- 1 tbs sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 packages (4 1/2 tsp) Rapid Rise Yeast
- 2 c milk
- 1/2 c water
- Cornmeal

- Large Bowl
- Microwave safe measuring cup
- Two (2) 9x5 pans
Directions
- Set the oven to 400 F.
- Mix all but 1 cup of the flour with the sugar, salt and baking soda in the large bowl.
- Warm the water and milk in the microwave until lukewarm, about 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on your microwave. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes to proof.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry, add reserved flour as needed. This should be a thick but pour-able batter.
- Grease and cornmeal the 2 pans, divide batter evenly, cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for 30 min.
- Bake at 400 for 25 min.
